The story follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who finds himself posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. What begins as a simple plan to make some extra money quickly turns into something much bigger when Dewey discovers the musical talents hidden within his straight-A students. Together, they form an unlikely rock band and embark on a journey filled with music, friendship, self-discovery, and plenty of fun.
