Meet Our Staff

Willie Wilson

Chief Executive Officer

Besides cooking, the greatest talent Willie Wilson has is "entertaining". From being a bandleader, songwriter, composer, guitarist, pianist, singer, soloist, actor, theatre director, educator - he's walked down every "entertainment" road there is. But in full transparency, Willie does not play the tuba :)

Since 1999, Willie Wilson Theatre Arts Group has produced 175 full theatrical productions to more than 7000 kids from over 75 NY and NJ towns. 99% of TAG enrollees come back over and over again. That 1% was due to bullying which is a deal-breaker.

When Willie recommends a TAG alumni for a theatrical high school or college, that child has a 100% success rate of being accepted. When high schools cast their own musical productions, TAG alumni get the leading roles. When Montclair University awarded the first Joanne Fox Award to a leader who was an "educational inspiration", Willie Wilson's name was called. When Willie's adult "special needs" cast members secretly submitted an application to the TONY awards, Willie received a nomination for Excellence in Theatre Education, not once, but twice. His mission to lead with "love & kindness to create a safe/brave space" is evident wherever Willie walks. He is inclusive, professional, child-like with a "big" personality. As one Principal said, "Willie's kids walk taller in the hallways." Most parents blame Willie for their child's increased happiness and newly found confidence.

Lynn Wilson

Chief Financial Officer

How could a successful hospital CEO become a successful children's theatre producer? By following the exact same rules, she followed in the healthcare space for 40 years. "Managing metrics" is the same in any business.  "What you measure, improves" is another rule Lynn Wilson consistently follows. Lynn's subject matter expertise is "evidence-based management in healthcare". In her past life, in addition to managing hospitals. Lynn spoke on evidence-based management across the nation, even writing a textbook on the subject. For several years, she became the nationally elected president of the Radiology association. Lynn can't sing a note, nor can she paint. But she knows how to apply metrics to manage any business. In 2018, Lynn's left-brain married Willie's right-brain. The result created a children's theatre company managed with excessive creativity and the tactical organization of a military operation. These two half-brains formed one brain - perfectly matched to create the most successful kids' theatre business in Bergen/Passaic/Rockland counties.
