School of Rock (James), Into the Woods Jr (Jack), Beauty & the Beast (Maurice), Grease (Doody), Lion King (Simba), Legally Blonde Jr (Nikos/Dewey), The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), A Chorus Line (Cut Dancer), Mamma Mia (Harry), High School Musical (Troy), Frozen Jr (Hans), Matilda (Bruce), Into the Woods (The Baker).
What are you up to now?
Derek is currently studying Musical Theater at the University of Michigan as a freshman. He just finsihed working and performing with numerous Broadway stars at the first ever Broadway Festival in Kingston, NY.
What are your favorite memories of TAG?
My favorite memories of TAG are the performances of Matilda and Into the Woods.
What does TAG mean to you?
WWTAG defined my love for performing arts. What started as a recreational hobby became what I am now pursuing professionally. Without TAG, I would’ve never discovered my love for theater or even thought about a career in it. I’m so grateful for all the memories and friendships I’ve made during my many years with the company.
What did you take away from your experience?
I’m lucky to have gained all the connections I made with so many people over my years at WWTAG.
